Press Release

This summer XJet will exhibit at Ceramics UK and Ceramics Expo and will be present at Ceramitec

 Rehovot, Israel – June 20, 2022

Ceramic additive manufacturing (AM) is estimated to grow to over $4.8 billion by 2030[1], creating huge opportunity for any businesses already in the technical ceramics industry. XJet, equipped with real-life examples and parts in both alumina and zirconia, will be at several key ceramic shows over the next couple of months, providing visitors with a great opportunity to explore in person, the quality of XJet parts and learn about its innovative technology.

Additive manufacturing (AM) of technical ceramics opens the doors for manufacturers from many different industries to create complex ceramic parts. Many parts were simply impossible to produce before due to the inherent difficulties of machining very hard, but also brittle, materials, or, required prohibitively expensive and lengthy tooling processes. XJet ceramic AM systems deliver fully dense and complex parts in alumina and zirconia, with unprecedented levels of detail, finish and accuracy.

Operating at sites across the globe, the Carmel 1400C empowers manufacturers to produce complex ceramic parts in production volumes with one of the industry’s largest build trays and simple automated post-processing. Following XJet’s recent open house at US-customer Azoth, and exhibition at RAPID +TCT, where the focus was on metal AM, this summer promises to focus on ceramics.

Visitors to Ceramics UK can explore XJet ceramic parts on the Tri-Tech 3D stand (17-227) from 29th to 30th June at the NEC, Birmingham. Tri-Tech is XJet’s exclusive reseller in the region, bringing the XJet Carmel 1400C AM System to the UK and Ireland markets. To hear about ‘Harnessing the Power of Additive Manufacturing in Advanced Materials’ join XJet CBO – Dror Danai – in the panel featuring industry-experts, on June 29 at 15:15.

North American manufacturers can discover XJet at Ceramics Expo, on booth 323 at the Huntington Convention Center, Cleveland, Ohio from August 29th to 30th. XJet will display real-world applications from the automotive, medical, dental and consumer goods industries, showcasing the superb properties of its zirconia and alumina materials. Danai will also take part in the panel on ‘Understanding how the latest advancements in ceramic additive manufacturing can benefit your application’ on the 2nd day of the show at 13:30.

XJet executives are also looking forward to visiting Ceramitec in Munich from 21-24 June.

“Ceramic manufacturing is on the cusp of transformation,” states XJet CBO, Dror Danai. “The technical ceramic manufacturing industry has been relatively small, but additive manufacturing has started to disrupt that and open huge opportunities for new applications and innovation, as well as for manufacturing of small batches of parts. I can’t wait to meet with the ceramic community this summer. I am confident, as I have seen what our customers are already making, that together we can make a big difference and the ceramic industry as a whole will grow.”
